Obituary

Nancy Ruth Hartley, 78, of Centre Hall, died Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Wynwood House in Centre Hall.

She was born August 24, 1936, a daughter of the late Stewart and Ruth Douty Hosterman.

On September 29, 1954 she married Carl L. Hartley who preceded her in death October 17, 2011.

She was a member of Calvary Bible Church, Centre Hall, where she served as a pianist for many years.

Surviving her are three daughters, Ruthann Mayes and her husband Gene of Pleasant Gap, Suzette Cain and her husband Brian, and Amy Muchler and her husband Mickey all of Centre Hall; her grandchildren; Mike, John and Chris Leidy, Jaclyn Padisak, Carla Seeger, Brenton Krebs, Amber Resto and Alyssa Gangwer and grandchildren through marriage, Aaron Cain, Steven, Chris and T. J. Mayes; twelve great grandchildren; Mikie, Leah Leidy, Clayton, Landon, Rylee Leidy, Clint, Kyler, Noelle, Mariah Leidy, Karissa and Carter Padisak, and Mackenzie Resto; two sisters, Hallie Bair (Walter) of Centre Hall, Lorna Jayne Crandall of State College and two brothers, Charles and Phil Hosterman (Jane) both of Centre Hall.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son Robert Carl Hartley who died at 2 ½ years of age; and three brothers Jack, Ned and Gordon Hosterman.

Friends will be received from 6 -8 p. m. Monday, October 27, 2014 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA., and from 10:30 to 11 a. m. Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Calvary Bible Church, 600 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall. The funeral will be held at 11 am Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at the church with Pastor Rick Gilbaugh officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

Contributions in her memory may be made to the Wynwood House, 122 Wynwood Drive, Centre Hall, PA 16828.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at the Wynwood House and to the staff at Horizons Hospice for their excellent and compassionate care of Mrs. Hartley.
