Nancy Ann Tischler, 91, of Petersburg, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center with her loving family by her side.

Born October 9, 1934, in Oakland, CA, she was a daughter of the late Virginia and Anthony Fratis.

Mrs. Tischler was U.S. Navy veteran serving as a registered nurse at the U.S. Naval Hospital in San Diego, CA.

She earned her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Penn State University.

Nancy was a prize-winning quilter and belonged to the Huntingdon Quilt Guild. She also enjoyed knitting, gardening, artistic painting, and playing the piano. She was known for her goofy sense of humor and loved going to the beach.

Surviving are her husband, Philip Tischler; 2 sons, Philip (Krisztina) and Michael Tischler; 3 daughters, Susan Gianforcaro, Laura Billy (Greg), and Joan Lewis (Mark); daughter-in-law, Deb Tischler (wife of Joseph); 12 grandchildren, Andrew, Jake, Amy, Becca, Matthew, Veronica, Geoffrey, Nathan, Grace, Katie, Gabe, and Mark Jr.; and 5 great-grandchildren, Gwen, Bridget, Tommy, Tyler, and Sophie.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a son, Joseph; and 2 brothers, Anthony and Jacques Fratis.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.
