Nancy J. Williams, passed away Monday, July 25, 2016, at the Centre Crest Nursing Home, Bellefonte. She was born at home in Waddle, PA, Benner Township and was the daughter of the late David James and Sarah Agnes (Kern) Williams.
Nancy was a 1953 graduate from the State College Area High School, and a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, in State College. She retired from Penn State University after 43 years, as administrative assistant. Some of her favorite hobbies were knitting and sewing. She was in a knitting club called the KNIT-WITS. She also enjoyed doing genealogy research in her spare time.
She is survived by one sister, Linda Poorman (Richard) of Centre Hall; one sister-in-law, Glady Williams of Bellefonte; one step-brother, Charles Brewer of State college, and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Bradford, and one brother, David Williams Jr.
Friends and family will be received from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2016, at the Grace Lutheran Church, 205 S. Garner St., State College, PA 16801. The service will immediately follow with The Reverend Scott Schul officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at the Houserville Cemetery, State College.
