Patricia Louise Hoover Poorman died at Centre Crest Nursing Home in Bellefonte, PA on May 17 2018.

Born Jan 3, 1927 in Altoona, PA and spent most of her youth in Port Matilda PA.

Daughter of the late George Peal and Mary Margaretta Woodring Hoover of Port Matilda, PA.

Married Willis H. Poorman of State College, PA who precedes her in death. Also preceding her in death were two daughters Carol Ann Poorman, Alice Mary Klinger Settle Poorman. Surviving at home a son Chester Michael Poorman of Port Matilda, PA. Also surviving granddaughter Michele Weaver and Husband Mike of Centre Hall, PA, Grandson Willis P Klinger, Grandson Connor M. Poorman of Bellefonte, PA. Great Granddaughter Cassie Weaver Brungart and Husband Brandon, and Great Great Grandson Gavin Brungart of Centre Hall, PA. Also surviving Great Grandson Luke Klinger, Great Granddaughter Gracie Klinger of VA, and Great Grandson Everett Klinger and Great Granddaughter Emma McLaughlin of State College, PA.

Pat retired from the Penn State University where she worked at the Pattee Library for many years. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, reading, baking, camping, auto racing, and watching football on TV. She was an avid iPad and iPhone user communicating with her family and reading the news online. Guarding her peeps was her mission in life and making sure they had all they needed to make their way through life. We will miss her smile, laughter, and her love for us all.

Burial will be at Centre County Memorial Park at a later date. A memorial service will be held at Black Oak United Methodist Church Port Matilda, PA on June 10 2018 at 2 PM.
