Patrick B. Winter, 52, of Coburn died Monday, October 12, 2015 at his residence.
Born July 14, 1963 in Bellefonte, a son of Wayne A. and Betty M. (Pressler) Winter, who survive in Aaronsburg.
Pat was a 1981 graduate of Penns Valley Area High School and the Centre County VoTech.
He was employed by PennDOT as an equipment operator for over 20 years.
Pat always wanted to learn to fly. In June of 2010 he started flying lessons under the supervision of Dr. H. Paul Shuch and on September 1, 2010 he became a licensed sport pilot. He was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and the Experimental Aircraft Association.
He loved his MOPARS, drag racing, going fast tractor pulls and flying; but his greatest enjoyment came from hunting and fishing with his son.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his companion and best friend, Debbie Lang; one son, Erik M. Winter with whom he resided; a brother Anthony "Tony" Winter of Aaronsburg; two step children, Josh Sprowls (Cecila) of Millheim and Megan VanNoy (Jon) of Canton, PA; two grandchildren, Makenna Sprowls and Caleb VanNoy and a nephew Tyler AS Shawver of Spring Mills.
Patrick was preceded in death by his sister Jacqueline M. "Jackie" Shawver on July 21, 2013.
