Paul E. Boliek Sr. 78, of Centre Hall, died Saturday, May 31, 2003 at Centre Community Hospital, State College, PA.
He was born February 2, 1925 in Huntington, West Virginia, a son of the late Sidney Gilbert and Minnie Leona Cline Boliek.
On August 28, 1925 he married Naomi Mae Workinger who survives at home.
Mr. Boliek served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
He earned a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering form Georgia Tech and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University.
He worked in International Trade for General Food Philip Morris Corp. He also served as president for one of General Foods Companies. Earlier in life he was a Chemical Engineer for Union Carbide Corp.
He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, Lodge 1600, State College.
Mr. Boliek was an accopmlished pianist and enjoyed world travel.
In additin to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Lynn B. Seitz of New Fairfield, Conn.; 3 sons, Paul E. Boliek, Jr. of Potters Mills, Lawrence E. Boliek of Centre Hall, and Dwight D. Boliek of Georgetown, Texas. One sister Virginia Moeser of Huntington, W.VA.; 11 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
In additin to his parents he was preceded in death by 1 sister and 2 brothers.
Visitation will be from 3 - 5 and 7 - 9 p. m., Tuesday, June 3, 2003 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. The funeral will be at 11:00 a. m., Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Rolla L. Utley Officiating. Burial will be in Sprucetown Cemetery in Potters Mills.
