Paul C. Dunn, Jr., 86 of Petersburg, PA died Tuesday, January 17, 2006, at the Hearthside Nursing Center in State College, PA after a short illness.
Born October 10, 1919, in Dublin, Georgia, he was the son of the late Paul Cleveland and Annie Lou Dunn (Harris).
Paul was a retired Lt. Colonel having served in the Army for twenty years. For his service he received the Korean Service Medal, the Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Two Overseas Bars, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation and the Armed Forces Reserve Medal.
Surviving are daughters Delores Ann Sidle and her husband Steven; Paula M. Holmes and her husband Michael all of Hackettstown, NJ; a son Paul C. Dunn, III of Petersburg, PA.; five grandchildren, Tyler P. Dunn of Petersburg, PA; Erica A. Steckl and Laura E. Steckl of Hackettstown, NJ; Sarah J. Washkau and Jesse M. Washkau of Bourbonnais, IL.; a sister Margaret E. Crumpler of Portsmouth, VA and a brother Frank H. Dunn of Salisbury, NC.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2006, at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, P.C., 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. Entombment will be at Centre County Memorial Park.
