Paul Allen McAbee, 77, of Bellefonte, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center.
He was born in November 8, 1937 in Hollidays Cove, West Virginia, a son of the late John Charles and Elizabeth McGough McAbee
Paul graduated from Weir High School, in West Virginia in the class of 1956.
He served in the U. S. Marine Corps from 1957 to 1960, on the U. S. S. Air Craft Carrier, The Franklin D. Roosevelt - CV-42.
Mr. McAbee was the co-owner of Majestic Window Cleaning Company in Bellefonte in the 1970's. He also worked for National Window Cleaning Company in Atlanta GA; and for Interflake Stamping Company in Norcross GA as a supervisor/machinist.
He enjoyed the out of doors, woodworking, gardening, cooking, baking, hunting, boating and traveling. He vacationed in every U. S. state including Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico.
For many years he attended the Presbyterian Church in Paris, PA.
In addition to his wife Irene Wolfe McAbee He is survived by his step daughter Beth Cook (Anthony) of Loganville, GA; three sisters, his twin, Ellen Croce of Follansbee W.VA, Laurene Ragan (John) of Avella, PA and Karin Tate (Sammie) of New Cumberland, W. VA; a brother Donald McAbee (Almyra) of Follansbee, W.VA; five grandchildren, Kipp Musser of Lemont, Keegan Musser (Jessica) of Lemont, Khloe Musser of Lemont, Carrie Cook of Chuluota, FL, and Michael Cook of Loganville, GA ;two brothers in law, John Wolfe (Margaret) of Bellefonte, and Duane Wolfe (Deb) of Milroy, Pa; one step son in law Kenneth Musser of Lemont; and one aunt Aldora Conner of Weirton, W. VA
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step daughter Karin Musser.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 am Friday, November 13, 2015 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service P. C., 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. The funeral will follow immediately at 11:00 am at the funeral home with the Reverend Eric Shaffer officiating. Military honors will be accorded. Burial with will be in Centre County Memorial Park.
