Paul M. McCartney, 76, of State College, died Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center.
He was born on August 27, 1931 in DuBois to the late John Charles and Aldine Hillebrand McCartney.
He served with the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn C. (Sorbera) McCartney of State College; two sons, Timothy McCartney and his wife Connie J. and their daughter, Chelsea M. McCartney all of State College, P. Michael McCartney of San Diego, CA; and two sisters, Mary Catherine Thompson of NY, and Mable Maines of Clearfield.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Dr. Tom, John, and Kenneth McCartney.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and cremation Services PC.
