Paul "Pete" E. Pressler, 90, of Lock Haven formerly of formerly of Centre Hall, Mifflintown, and Lamar, died Saturday, November 15, 2014, at Fullmer Personal care Home, at Lock Haven.

He was born October 7, 1924 in Neffs Mills, Huntingdon County, a son of the late John Elmer and Sarah Alma Lightner Pressler.

Pete served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II with Squadron A, 223rd AAF BU in Fort Worth Texas, until his honorable discharge on March 24, 1947. After his military service, He went to work for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement. Pete also served as a part time police officer in several local communities.

Hunting was one of Pete's most enjoyable pastimes. He also enjoyed lawn work, always keeping his lawn immaculate, and keeping his cars spotless inside and out.

Surviving Mr. Pressler is one son David E. Pressler and his wife Penny of Lamar, a great granddaughter Makaylin Gannon of Jersey Shore, and one brother Blair Pressler of rural Bellefonte. In addition to his parents and wives he was preceded in death by a son Ernest Paul Pressler, a grandson, Shannon Cline; two sisters and four brothers.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. Burial with Military honors will follow at Mooresville Cemetery, Moorsville, PA
