Paul R. Young, 60, of Pleasant Gap, passed away on August 18, 2007, at the Mount Nittany Medical Center.
He was born in Williamsport, PA on January 9, 1947, son of the late Paul G. and Shirley (Miller) Young.
On August 22, 1971, he married Maude C. Dreibelbis, who survives in Pleasant Gap.
Mr. Young is survived by a son, Michael Lyn Young and his wife Peggy of Mineral Point, PA; two daughters, Katina E. Mazzotta and her husband Vinnie of Bellefonte, and Catherine G. Kephart and her husband Jason of Pleasant Gap; three sisters, Debbie Fees and her companion Bob Werner of Centre Hall, Lisa Yost and her husband John of Centre Hall, and Karen Robinson and her husband Terry of Milesburg; one brother, Robert Young and his wife Melissa of Chambersburg, PA; his mother-in-law, Lula (Sally) Dreibelbis of State College; seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and is survived by many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Young.
Mr. Young had been employed as a manager at the Riverside Market and Bi-Lo for twenty five years and was recently employed as a Store Manager at the Grocery Outlet in Centre Hall until his retirement. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed being in Canada. He belonged as a member to the Undine Fire Company in Bellefonte, the American Legion in Pleasant Gap, and the V.F.W. in Potters Mills.
A memorial service celebrating Mr. Young's life will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at 11 A.M. at the Trinity United Church of Christ, 104 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall with Pastor Leigh Pick officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
