Obituary

Paul Samuel Zerby, 90, of Palmyra, formerly of Centre Hall, died Thursday, October 29, 2009, at the home of his son Paul in Palmyra.
He was born March 20, 1919 at rural Centre Hall, a son of the late Edwin Henry and Mildred Horner Zerby.
On September 1942, he married Betty Mae Styers who survives in Palmyra.
Mr. Zerby farmed and owned and operated a building construction business for many years.
He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and traveling.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Dolly I. Zerby Waltz of Centre Hall; two sons, Paul E. Zerby of Palmyra and John R. Zerby of Centre Hall; two sisters, Beulah Foust of Port Matilda and Dorothy Evans of Hazleton; six grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Dorothy S. Zerby; three sisters Goldie Crader, Gladys Brown and Kathryn Long; and one brother George Zerby.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a. m. Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA, with the Reverend Kenneth Stephens officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Zion Hill Cemetery, Colyer.
