Pauline A. Hampton, 80 years old, of State College, went home to be with the Lord on July 3, 2023 while surrounded by her loving husband, daughter and son-in-law in her home. She was born to the late Clifford and Rose (Graham) Arndt on November 14, 1942 in Chardon, Ohio. She was a graduate of Chardon High School class of 1960 and went on to complete several certification programs specializing in the welfare and proper care of those with special needs and elder care.

On July 11,1968 Pauline married Robert L. Hampton; the couple later welcomed their daughter, Damaris. Pauline dedicated her life to the care and comfort of others. She worked as a caregiver at The Arc of Centre County and Foxdale Village Retirement Community. She was also a foster mom. Pauline held strong faith in Jesus attending State College Assembly of God and Grace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading and spending time with friends and family. She was also a breast cancer survivor.

Aside from her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her sisters, Lucy and Viola; brothers, David, Donald, Johnny, Jackie and Stan. She is survived by her exceptional loving husband with whom she was days shy of celebrating 55 years of marriage; her daughter, Damaris Dougherty (Patrick); 3 wonderful grandchildren, Patrick, Morgan and Molly and her sisters, Barbara, Joyce, June, Kathy, and Ned.

Pauline will be honored on Friday, July 7, 2023 at the Haky/Georgiana Centre County Funeral Home located at 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA 16801. Visitation will be at 11:30 am followed by a service officiated by Pastor Marlin "Butch" Neil at 12:00 pm. Interment will take place at the Centre County Memorial Park.

Deep gratitude goes to UPMC Hospice, Comfort Keepers Home Care and all those who helped care for and support Pauline and the family during her illness.
