Obituary

Philip R. "Ronnie" Struble, 81, of Centre Hall died Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

Born December 7, 1933, in State College, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph W. and Beulah Brooks Struble.

On August 25, 1953 he married Virginia L. Bailey who survives at home. They were married for 62 wonderful years.

Ronnie was a member of the St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Centre Hall. He sang in the Church choir and was a member of the Church council.

He worked for Cerro for 45 years. After his retirement he drove school bus and spent a lot of time fishing and hunting. Ronnie was also a Boy Scout leader for a number of years and helped out with the Centre Hall-Potter Food and Fuel Bank. He was an avid reader of WWII history books and books about airplanes and the history of flight. As a youth growing up in Centre Hall, Ronnie spent time on his hobby of building and flying model airplanes. During retirement, he spent much of his time gardening and feeding the birds and enjoying the company of his family and friends.

Along with his wife Virginia, he is survived by three daughters; Cindy (Sumner) Kessinger, of Centre Hall, Charolette (Cliff) Waltz, of Centre Hall, Cathi (Brian) Baker, of Douglassville, PA; one sister, Barbara Whitman of Centre Hall; two brothers, Jeff (Cinda) Struble, of Bellefonte, Tim (Joyce) Struble, of Curwensville, PA; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter.

Friends and Family will be received from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015, at the St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 301 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall. The service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with The Reverend Scott Klimke officiating.
