Phyllis  (Showers) King, 93 of State College, PA died November 7, 2022. Born May 30, 1929 in Bellefonte, PA she was the daughter of the late George A. & Mary (Fishburn) Showers. In September 1956 she married Gilbert E. King and they had 2 children, Deborah and Brian. Phyllis was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Clarence Showers, and 3 sisters, Georgianna Stamm Sabin, Louise Baney, and Edna Annabelle Moore. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah S. Reif (Denny) of Huntingdon; her son, Brian D. King (Terri) of State College; her grandchildren, Jeremiah A. Reif of Huntingdon, Jessica L. Walsh (Jonathan) of Moyock NC, Kamaria Cravener, Cassandra Rhoades and Rachael Rhoades all of State College; 1 great - grandson, Colton A. Walsh of Moyock NC and 1 sister-in-law, Joanne King of Bellefonte.

Phyllis retired from the food service department of the State College Area School District in 1991. She was a lifelong resident of Centre County. She enjoyed planting and tending to flowers in her gardens at home and spending time with family and friends.

Phyllis spent the last 2 years of her life being lovingly cared for by the staff at Eagle Valley Personal Care Home in Milesburg, PA.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 14, 2022 from 10:00AM - 12:00PM at the Haky/Georgiana Centre County Funeral Home 1034 Benner Pike State College, PA 16801 with a graveside service immediately following at the Centre County Memorial Park, Pastor Daniel Morris, Stone Valley Bible Church, Huntingdon, PA officiating.
