Ralph J. Boldin, 88, of Bellefonte, died Friday, August 21, 2009, at Hearthside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in State College.
Born March 1, 1921, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Vincent and Sally Ross.
On May 18, 1946, he married Grace Vonada, who preceded him in death on April 17, 2000.
Ralph was a laborer at Marblehead Lime of Bellefonte, retiring in January of 1986 after 34 years of service. Earlier in life he was employed by M. L. Clasters.
He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Bellefonte. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was the last survivor of his siblings, and is survived by one son; Ralph J. Boldin, Jr. and his wife Diane of Bellefonte, and two grandchildren, Marty Jo Boldin of State College and her fianc Chris Kline, and Tiffany A. Boldin of Baltimore, MD.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Ann Sunday, Catherine Struble and Rose Ishler; and one brother Joseph Boldin.
Visitation will be from noon to 1:00 p. m. Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. The Funeral will follow at 1:00 p. m. at the funeral home with Deacon Tom Boldin officiating. Burial will be at Centre County Memorial Park, 1032 Benner Pike State College, PA
