Raymond R. Long, 88, of Centre Hall, died Saturday, November 29, 2003 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center.
He was born August 28, 1915 in Walker Township, a son of the late James Gardner and Ruth Royer Long.
On Jan. 28, 1943, he married Blanche O. Witmer sho survives at home.
Mr. Long farmed most of his life in Potter Township. He was devoted to farming and enjoyed working on small engines.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Helen A. Stitzer of State College, Patsy L. Goodman of Bellefonte, and Kenneth B. Long of Centre Hall; eight grandchildren, Kerry, Kenny and Tracie Bartley, Donnie and Timothy Stitzer, Brian and Scott Long, and Julie Stokes; three great-grandchildren, Kaleb Long, Christian Stokes, and Kaden Bartley.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Frazier; a brother, Ralph E. Long, and two grandchildren, Lorie and Kevin Long.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at the funeral home with The Rev. Dan Smith officiating. Burial will in the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery, West Church St., Centre Hall, PA
