Raymond "Ray" S. Myers, Sr., 62, of Centre Hall, died Friday, November 5, 2010 at his residence.
He was born November 23, 1947, in Bellefonte, a son of the late Raymond Calipo and Agnes Vivian Conaway. He was raised by his foster parents Ralph and Marian Myers.
On February 13, 1971, he married Catherine S. Shuey Myers who survives at home.
Ray graduated from Tyrone High School and worked as printing press operator with various printing companies for many years.
Mr. Myers attended Nittany Bible Church, Pennsylvania Furnace. His hobbies included playing the organ, listening to various types of music and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife Catherine, he is survived by two sons, Raymond S. Myers Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Catawissa, and Matthew S. Myers of Centre Hall; five grandchildren Stephanie, Joseph, Emily, Colten, and Garrett Myers; one sister Jackie DeWolfe of Erie; and a half sister Kim Locke of Texas; and his best friend Chuck Barger of Florida.
In addition to his parents and foster parents he was preceded in death by a brother Michael Grimm.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p. m. Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at Nittany Bible Church 461 Deibler Road, Pennsylvania Furnace, PA; with Reverend Joseph Rose officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
