Raymond D. Northamer, 84, of Spring Hill, FL, passed away November 4, 2019 at Sturgill Hospice House, Brooksville, FL.

He was born Wednesday, May 22, 1935, in Philipsburg, PA, a son of the late George and Rachel (Dixon) Northamer. On June 30, 1953 he married Mary (Baylets) Northamer who survives. They were married for 66 wonderful years.

Raymond worked in the Athletic Department and Building Maintenance Department at Penn State -- he retired from Penn State after 25 years of employment. He enjoyed all outdoor activities including mowing the yard and painting the house. He was a hardworking man who could fix anything. He was also a wonderful cook and baker.

Along with his wife Mary, he is survived by his son, Ray A. Northamer of Pennsylvania Furnace; two granddaughters, Kelly Wilson of Cambridge MA, Wendy Jo Silverthorn (Jonathan) of Swarthmore, PA; two great grandsons, Harrison and Kit Silverthorn, and one brother George Northamer (Helen).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA.
