Obituary

Richard A. Baird of Spring Mills passed away peacefully on December 19, 2011 at Centre Crest.
Born May 19, 1941, he was the son of the late Almon and Amy Baird of Centre Hall.
Richard attended P.V.H.S. and served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1963 and was stationed in Germany.
On March 6, 1965, Richard married Marilyn Decker of Spring Mills, who survives at home.
He is survived by four sons: Randy (Shelia) of Smullton, David (Misty), Tony (Tangy) of Centre Hall, and Michael (Kay) of Bellefonte; two brothers, Dr. Rev. Almon (Ida) of Julian and Merdith of Spring Mills; nine grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, and umpiring softball. His biggest passion was spending time with his family. He was loved and will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011, beginning at 10:30 AM at the Fleming Free Methodist Church, 160 Chestnut Street, Fleming.
