Richard Budd Benner's Obituary
Richard B. "Dick" Benner, 62, of Bellefonte, died Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Born September 17, 1951, Omaha, NE, he was a son of the late Budd Benner and Marjorie (Deitz) McCool.
Dick was a 1969 graduate of Bellefonte High School and attended Penn State University. He worked at Dupont as a rug dyer prior to his illness. He was active in the Jaycee's, was an avid Penn State, Yankee and Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed walking.
He is survived by two brothers, Thomas Benner of Pleasant Gap and Robert Benner of Bellefonte; one sister, Vickie Benner of Bellefonte and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6 -8 PM, Monday, January 20, 2014 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. A funeral service will be held 10 AM, Tuesday, January 21st at the funeral home with the Reverend David Gouak officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Dick's name may be made to a charity of ones choice.
