Obituary

Richard Andrew Kilhofer (Dick), 86, formerly of State College, died Tuesday May 3, 2016, at the Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle, PA.
Born February 26, 1930 in Ridgway, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Mary Catherine Walker and Andrew Reinhart Kilhofer. On September 21, 1957 he married Ruth Ada Litz, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by daughter Mary Jane Gnatt and her husband Gregory C. Gnatt of Mechanicsburg, and grandchildren: Andrew and fianc Maribeth, Emily, Alexander, and Katie.
He was a graduate of Ridgway High School and Bliss School of Electronics.
He served as a corporal in the US Army from 1950-1952 during the Korean War as an infantry radio man and retired in 1992 as an inspector for the US Dept of Defense.
Dick enjoyed decades of singing with the Nittany Knights Barbershop Chorus in State College, was a fourth degree Knights of Columbus member and served as Treasurer for the State College Elks Club for over 25 years.
