Richard Steven Ellenberger, 73, of Pennsylvania Furnace died Sunday, March 14, 2021, at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

He was born on February 28, 1948, in Bellefonte, PA; a son of the late Richard and Lorena (Christian) Ellenberger. On November 11, 1980, he married Patricia A. (Hartman) Ellenberger.

Mr. Ellenberger was a United States Army Veteran. He served his Country during the Vietnam War era.

Richard was a House Painter for over 45 years. After his retirement he volunteered at Centre County PAWS, which he greatly enjoyed. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patricia Ellenberger of Pennsylvania Furnace; Step-son, David DeVoss of Sewickely, PA; two grandchildren, Ryan and Helena DeVoss of Sewickely, PA.

All services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
