Robert "Bob" Alan, 69, of State College died August 13, 2016 at his residence.

Born December 25, 1946 in Sharon, PA, he was the son of the late Robert and Susan (Messerly) Funk.

In October of 1992 he married Christine M. Ferrazza who preceded him in death on September 17, 2009.

Bob was employed at Penn State University as the head of serials and acquisitions. In his early years he loved cooking and gardening. He was also an avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed football, NASCAR and golf.

Surviving are two daughters, Samantha C. (21) and Vanessa A. (17); his mother-in-law, Diana Ferrazza; and his beloved animals, dog Abby and cats, Jeffrey, Coby, Dixie, Lulu and Luke.

Visitation will be 10:30-11:30AM, Saturday, August 20th (today) at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Centre County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Robert's name may be made to Centre County PAWS, 1401 Trout Road, State College, PA 16801.
