Obituary

Robert A. Hook, 92, of State College, died Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center, State College.
He was born October 8, 1916, in Lakewood, Ohio, a son of the late Edwin Valentine and Anna Sarah Heidloff Hook.
He was married to Jean for sixty-three years who preceded him death in August 1, 2006.
Robert earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Oberlin College in 1938. Throughout his career he worked in management positions in manufacturing.
Mr. Hook was a member of Oakwood Presbyterian Church in State College. He was formerly a member of the Lions Club in Ohio.
Surviving are a son, Rob and fiance Susan Lee of Issaquah, WA; a daughter Sandra Bergen of State College; two grandchildren Trina and Katelyn both of State College; a niece Karen Giesecke and her family of Massachusetts; and a nephew Peter Hook and his family in Virginia.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother Edwin Hook.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a. m. Monday, December 8, 2008, at Oakwood Presbyterian Church, 1865 Waddle Dr., State College, PA, with the Reverend Russell St. John officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hall Cemetery, West College Ave., State College, PA
