Robert Edward Houtz passed away on June 17, 2010 in Kingwood, Texas.
Born on August 1, 1925 in Bellefonte, he was the son of Edward R. and Margaret Pearl (Martz) Houtz.
Robert was a graduate of Bellefonte High School, class of 1943.
In September 1947, he married the former Anna Faust, who preceded him in death.
He was a retired Corrections Officer at Rockview State Prison.
He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Dauzat and her husband Bruce, and their son Austin Dauzat, all of Porter, TX. Also surviving are two brothers, J. Richard Houtz and his wife Marilyn and Ronald H. Houtz and his wife Dorothy; two sisters in law, Frances Houtz and Bonnie Hawbaker; and also numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James H. Houtz and Thomas L. Houtz.
Family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until the time of Memorial Services at 2:30 PM on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. Inurnment will follow at Centre County Memorial Park in State College.
