Roberta A. Breon, 90, of Centre Hall, died Sunday, August 17, 2008, at Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
She was born April 21, 1918, in Potter Township, a daughter of the late Robert M. and Mary Cora Hazel Smith.
On May 6, 1939, she married Paul D. Breon who preceded her in death October 16, 2000.
Roberta graduated from Centre Hall-Potter High School as valedictorian of her class. She went on to graduate from the Williamsport School of Commerce.
She worked as a secretary for Centre Hall-Potter High School and was a full time substitute secretary for school districts in Western Pennsylvania, while living there.
Mrs. Breon was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Centre Hall and the United Methodist Women at the church, and had participated in the church choir.
She enjoyed playing the piano, reading, doing word search and crossword puzzles, gardening, and attending craft and antique shows. She was an accomplished cook.
Two daughters survive her, Nancy M. Skort and her husband Edward of Avonmore and Judith R. Breon of Greensburg.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three sisters, Marian Smith, Sara Luse and E. Gladys Burkholder, and nine half-brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received from 2 - 3 p. m. Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at Grace United Methodist Church, 127 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. The funeral will follow at 3:00 p. m. at the church with the Reverend Judith Hulslander officiating. Burial will be in the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery, West Church St. Centre Hall, PA
