Robin Stanton Runkle, 59, returned to her heavenly home on December 30, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on June 11, 1956 in Bethesda, Maryland to William Earl and Margery Elizabeth Stanton of Bellefonte

Robin graduated from Mansfield High School in 1974. She married the love of her life, Edgar Alan Runkle on July 6, 1974, in Pleasant Gap, PA.

She worked as an expanded function dental assistant for 31 years.
An active member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Syndertown, PA. She was a
member of the church's Relay for Life team, a council member and in retirement, the church secretary. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and antiquing. She was also a member of Logan Grange #109 in Pleasant Gap, PA

Robin is survived by her husband of 41 years, Edgar Alan Runkle of Bellefonte, her son Jonathan (Erikka) Runkle of State College, daughter Elizabeth (Katherine) Runkle of Pleasant Gap, grandchildren Gabriel, Leighton and Jackson Runkle, father and mother William and Margery Stanton of Bellefonte, father-in-Law Kenneth Runkle of Pleasant Gap and sisters Kathy (Thomas) Boughter, Lynne Rotan, Kristin(John) Conway, Amy (Robert) Besante and their families.

She was preceded in death by her brother William Earl Stanton Jr, granddaughter Emerson Lynne Runkle, mother-in-law Mary Frances Runkle and brother-in-law Dennis Rotan.

The family welcomes friends and family to celebrate Robin's life at lO AM on January 9th 2016 at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Syndertown, PA. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the St. Mark Lutheran Church Relay for Life team, 850 Snydertown Road, Howard, PA 16841.
