Ronald Kenneth Boob, 66, of Centre Hall, died Sunday, January 18, 2009 at his residence.
Born in Penn Township on June 9, 1942, he was a son of the late Stanley G. and Sarah Margaret Mae (Breon) Boob.
On October 8, 1994 at the Free Methodist Church in State College, he was married to the former Darlene Joy Zettle Auman, who survives him.
He was a graduate of the Penns Valley Area High School.
Mr. Boob was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving as an officer in the military police.
He retired from Corning as a maintenance worker with over 37 years of service.
He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Centre Hall, the Black Panther Campground, and the Nittany Antique Machinery Association. He was a former member of the Millheim Bowling League and the Penns Valley Grange.
He enjoyed model trains, collecting various things, playing cards, watching Nascar, being a fan of Jeff Gordon, and attending the Grange Fair.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Sheila Stevenson and her husband Dave of Bellefonte, and Angela Jordon and her husband Todd of Aaronsburg; One step-son, Timothy Auman and his wife Angela of Phillipsburg; one step-daughter, Elizabeth Long and her husband Steve of Aaronsburg; two sisters, Lois Hutchison and her husband Harvey of Petersburg, and Carol Shaffer and her husband Ronald of Spring Mills; one brother, Robert Boob and his partner Laurie Mann of Howard; and three step-granddaughters, Kalysta and Taylor Long, and Sierra Auman.
Friends will be receive from 6 to 8 p. m. Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the Grace United Methodist Church, 127 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, with the Reverend Judith Hulslander officiating. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Upper Georges Valley Road, Spring Mills.
