Ronald "Buck" J. Wells, 70, of rural Spring Mills, died Saturday, February 23, 2013, at Centre Crest in Bellefonte.
He was born March 9, 1942, in Bellefonte, a son of the late John and Maude Eungard Wells.
Ronald graduated from Penns Valley High School in 1960. He farmed in Penns Valley for many years and for eighteen years drove bulk milk trucks for R. W. Bird Trucking at Pleasant Gap, retiring in 2008.
Mr. Wells was a member of Sprucetown United Methodist Church at Potters Mills. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing, tractor pulls, attending Grange Fair, spending time with family, and farming, including repairing farm equipment and anything else that needed to be repaired.
Surviving Buck are one sister Nancy R. Wells of Madisonburg; one brother Charles A. Wells of rural Spring Mills and three nephews; Stanley C., John and Adam C. Wells all of rural Spring Mills. He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Friends will be received from 6 - 8 p. m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. The funeral will be at 10:00 a. m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the funeral home with the Reverend Fred Rudy officiating. Burial will follow in Centre County Memorial Park, 1032 Benner Pike, State College.
