Ronald L. Yarnell, 86, of Honey Grove died May 9, 2015 in Bellefonte, PA.
Born February 2, 1929 in Frackville, PA he was the son of the late Elsworth C. and Ethyl (Schuey) Yarnell.
On June 17, 1950 in Jacksonville, FL he married Genevieve June Wolfgang who preceded him in death on July 27, 2003.
He was a WWII navy veteran. He was a carpenter all of his life, building many homes throughout the area. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Ron is survived by one daughter, Diana L Gaittens and her longtime companion and fiance, Dwight C. Smith of Pleasant Gap; one son, Dean A Yarnell and his wife Denise B. of Bristol, PA; one brother, Paul Yarnell and his wife Phyllis of Harrisburg,; one granddaughter, Hailie M. Yarnell of Bristol; one adopted granddaughter, Jill Lease, one step granddaughter, Rebecca A. Arbaugh, two adopted great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Gertie, Jenny, Harold, Myron and Grace.
All services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Ronald's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2 Lemoyne Drive, Suite 101, Lemoyne, PA 17043 or the Salvation Army, 1122 Green Street, Harrisburg, PA 17102.
