Obituary

Rosey Ann Guiser, 59, of rural Port Matilda, PA died Monday, April 10, 2006, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College.
She was born June 28, 1946, a daughter of Normenia Fike Sowers who survives in Unionville and the late Clair R. Sowers.
On August 31, 1965, in Delaware, she married Robert (Bob) A. Guiser who survives at home.
In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by a daughter Jo Ann Vargo and her husband Christopher, of Greenville, SC, three sons, Timothy J. Guiser of Honolulu, Hawaii, Jerry L. Guiser and his wife Valerie of Kapolei, Hawaii, Jeffrey L. Guiser and his fiancee` Hope Klotzbaugh of State College; one grandchild Allen F. Guiser at home, who is being raised by his grandparents, and 7 other grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Hubbard and her husband Walter, and Judy Manko and her husband Harry all of Delaware; four brothers, John Sowers and his wife Juline of Texas, Larry Sowers and his wife Rebecca of Julian, William Sowers of Unionville and Henry Sowers of Greensburg.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Anita Sowers and a brother Phillip Sowers.
Rosey worked as a waitress in the Sherwood Diner in Delaware, and later in life worked at the former Boalsburg Steak House, and was a homemaker.
Rosey was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ in Boalsburg. She especially enjoyed traveling, had a deep interest in history, especially war history, and loved Country music. She also enjoyed crocheting. She was deeply involved in genealogy work and had traced three family trees which were published and are available in the Centre County Library in Bellefonte.
Friends will be received from 6 - 8 p. m. Thursday, April 13, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. The funeral will be at 11:00 a. m. Friday, April 14, 2006 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Allen L. Heckman officiating. Burial will be at Centre County Memorial Park, 1032 Benner Pike, State College, PA
