Roxie J. Horner Schillings, 79, of rural Centre Hall, died Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center, State College, PA
She was born November 13, 1929, at Dewart, PA; a daughter of the late Jacob and Roxanna Kuhn Nevel.
On November 10, 1962, she married John A. Schillings who survives at home.
Mrs. Schillings was a homemaker and assisted her husband in doing administrative work for his plumbing business.
She loved crocheting and has completed numerous intricate patterns including dolls, animals, and afghans of all sizes.
Surviving Roxie are two daughters, Dora May Blair of Howard and Paula Parker of Hastings, FL; two sons, Paul Horner of Centre Hall and John A. Schillings Jr. of Laurel, MD; a sister, Joyce Gresh of Watsontown; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and a daughter in law Gloria Horner of Milesburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons Robert Eugene and Gene Allen Horner; and two brothers, Boyd and Jake Nevel.
There will be no public visitation, funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
