Roy Johnson, 99, of Newton, N.J. died April 29, 2018 , at Bristol Glen Nursing Home in New Jersey. Roy is survived by his children;Gary Johnson (Lillian) of Columbus N.J., Luann Beresny (Gerald) of Hanover, Pa; five grandchildren,Lisa Neiderer, Mike Beresny, Timothy Beresny, Sarah Schectel, Emily Johnson; four great grandchildren, Mason Neiderer, Jillian Neiderer, Hannah Schectel, and Andrew Schectel.  He is preceded in death by his wife June and his brother, Arnold.

Roy was born in Ridgefield Park, NJ to Carl & Anna ( Holmes) Johnson on Dec 23, 1918.  Roy was a Building Contractor while living in New Jersey.  Roy & June moved to State College, Pa in 1982.  His hobbies included bowling, photography & playing pool.  Roy was very proud of his Swedish heritage and made contact with his family who live there.  He enjoyed several trips to keep his family ties alive.

Friends and family will be received from 6:00-8:00pm Wednesday, May 2 at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral & Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College .  The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 3 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Theresa M. Heiser officiating.  Interment will be in Centre County Memorial Park, State College.
