Ruth L. Batdorf, 92, of Harrisburg, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017 at the Harrisburg Hospital.

Born on May 30, 1924 in Berwick, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clay and Margaret (Honer) Webb.

On October 3, 1942 she married Robert L. Batdorf, who survives at home. They were married for 74 wonderful years.

Ruth enjoyed knitting, reading and playing cards with her husband. She especially loved spending time with her family.

Along with her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Sandy Wynn of Harrisburg, Kay Dunwoody and her husband Scott of Mechanicsburg; one sister, Maxine Meck of Phoenixville, PA, and seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Richard Batdorf.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2017, at the Susquehanna Valley Evangelical Free Church, 6433 Union Deposit Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17111. The memorial service will immediately follow with Pastor Randy Hunt officiating.

Interment will take place at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg, PA.
