Ruth M. Casher, 73, of Bellefonte passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.

Born April 16, 1942, in Smulton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Pearl (Lamey) Glunt. On January 6, 1954, she married Joseph L. Casher who survives at home.

She was a member the Living Hope Alliance Church in Bellefonte, was an avid gardener, cook, and baker; she enjoyed playing the piano, crocheting, and spending time with her wonderful family.

Along with her husband, Joseph, she is survived by three loving daughters; Melody J. Beers of Bellefonte, JoAnn E. Moutinho of AR, Monica J. Brindle (Kevin) of Centre Hall; two brothers, Howard Glunt, Paul Glunt; one sister, Cathy Brookhart; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by one daughter; Susan J. Casher, and one brother, Floyd Glunt.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016, at the Living Hope Alliance Church, 321 E. Howard Street, Bellefonte, PA 16823.
