Evans-Fultz

Ruth A. Evans-Fultz, 74, of Bellefonte, died at home on Friday, September 19, surrounded by her family.
Born in Lewistown on April 12, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd E. and Dona A. (Deeg) King. Her husband of 27 years and high school sweetheart, James L. Fultz, survives.
Also surviving are children Cyrus A. Evans of Pleasant Gap, Amber L. DeCosmo (James) of Bellefonte, Nichole R. Luckovich of Lewistown, and Michael A. Fultz (Amy) of Mount Union; siblings Wade E. King Sr. (Teresa) of Reedsville and Rev. Laura E. King of Dallas, TX; grandchildren Cyrus Colvin Evans, Malcolm DeCosmo, Dylan Luckovich, Paige Fultz, and Quinnten Fultz; two great-grandchildren, Holden and Savannah; and aunts Irma J. King and M. Adaline Spickler, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son Ruben J. Evans and two brothers, Ronald L. King and Lloyd A. King.
Ruth was a beloved person: a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend, who lived her life to the fullest, and was the one who took care of everyone else. She had a light about her and touched everyone she met. She retired from H&R Block in Bellefonte and previously worked at Trinity Investments, Bellefonte, and Aris Corporation, State College.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Bellefonte, where she enjoyed helping with the "Light of the World Clothing Bank" and singing in the St. John's Choir. She coordinated "Mission Central" at Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellefonte, for many years, and was a disaster services volunteer with the American Red Cross both locally and nationally.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4 at 2:00 pm at St. John's United Church of Christ, 145 W. Linn St. Bellefonte with Pastor Diane Kinley officiating. Family and friends will be received from 12:00 – 2:00 pm at the church. In honor of Ruth's kind heart and sense of humor, the family requests you wear your favorite uplifting / happy / fun (church appropriate) shirt, e.g.: Kind People Are My Kinda People!
