Ruth P. Whiteman, 85, of State College, died Friday, October 14,2005 at Brookline village, the Fairways.
She was born on June 5,1920 in State College to the late Merrill F. and Gertrude R. Rishel Poorman.
On May 25,1952 she married James H. Whiteman who preceded her in death on September 28,1988.
She retired after 39 years as a cashier for People's National Bank.
She is survived by a brother, Doyle E. Poorman and his wife Martha of Port Matilda; a sister-in-law, Helen Poorman of State College; a brother-in-law, Robert A. Foster of State College; and nine nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Poorman and a sister, Mary Foster.
Visitation and services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
