Sally Joan Mayhew, 74, of State College, died Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center.
She was born on April 26,1931 in Pittsfield,MA to the late Wilford and Mary L. Ryder Langlois.
She married Edmund E. Mayhew on August 15,1951 who survives at home.
She was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, the Red Hats Society, Huntingdon Chapter, and she enjoyed bowling.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Gary S. Mayhew and his wife Bonnie of Bellefonte; a daughter, Debra J. Gray and her husband Jack of Stormstown; four grandchildren, Nicole Peterman of Honeybrook, Stephanie Gray of Harrisburg, Amy Hockenberry of Pleasant Gap, Jarrod Mayhew of Bellefonte; five great grandchildren, Lauren and J.T. Peterman, Emerson, Sloane and Paige Hockenberry; a brother, Neal Langlois of Pittsfield,MA.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jackie, Leo and Richard, and by a sister, Patricia Driscoll.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:30 AM on Monday, February 27, 2006 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 867 Gray's Wood Blvd, State College, PA 16803. The funeral mass will follow at the church at 11:30 AM with the Father Phillip Bender officiating. Burial will be at the Centre County Memorial Park.
