Sandra A. (Schriver) Gunsallus, 86, of Millheim, entered peacefully into eternal rest Monday, December 30, 2024. She was born February 26, 1938 in Millheim, PA to the late Robert Ward and Doris Mae (Weaver) Schriver. In 1957 she married H. Gunsallus.

Sandy was a 1956 graduate of Penns Valley High School and went on to graduate from Thompson's Business College in Harrisburg. She then worked as an executive assistant for the Pennsylvania State University until her retirement in 2008.

Sandy was a member of Runville United Methodist Church where she was the director of the Pantomime every Christmas Eve that performed with the Christmas Cantatas. She also sang in the Runville United Methodist Choir, the State College Choral Society Choir and the Interdenominational Choir. She loved spending time with her family, gardening and music. Because of her love for animals and wildlife, she volunteered with Centre Wildlife Care helping to rehabilitate those in need and was also very active in Cub Scouting.
Sandy loved the Lord Jesus all her life. "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." – 2Chronicles 7:14

Along with her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lola V. Fishburn; brother, Robert L. Schriver and son-in-law, Thomas Penders.

"The most precious gift of my life has been the four children God has given me." Sandy is survived by her daughter, Melinda Sue Gunsallus – Penders of Washington, NC; sons, Richard M. Gunsallus (Connie) of Centre Hall, PA, Rick A. Gunsallus of Aaronsburg, PA and Jeffrey L. Gunsallus of Washington, NC; five grandsons; one step-granddaughter and six great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at the Centre County Memorial Park per the family's request.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Sandy's honor to Centre Wildlife Care, 156 Natural Way, Port Matilda, PA 16870.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Haky/Georgiana Centre County Funeral Home. An online guestbook may be signed and condolences left for the family at www.hakygeorgianafh.com.
