Sarah K. Witherite, 79, of Mill Hall, formerly of Julian, died July 5, 2004 at her home.
She was born May 10, 1925 in Harris Township, Centre County to the late Alva and Edith Roxanne Snyder Addleman.
She was married March 4, 1943, in Bellefonte to Mr. Lester E. Witherite, who survives. They have been married over 61 years.
Sarah was a homemaker;mostly; however, she worked as a receptionist for 10 years and retired from the Private Industry Council of Centre County.
She was a member of the Fleming Free Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School Nursery and the Adult Class.
She is survived by her husband, Lester E. Witherite, of Bellefonte; three daughters, Edith Lee of Julian, Jean Turner of Julian and Judith Patishnock of Maryland; two sons, Edward Witherite, with whom she resided, Joseph Witherite of North Carolina; 10 Grandchildren; and 5 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, 1034 Benner Pike, College Township, on Thursday from 7-9 p.m.
Service will be at the funeral home, on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor William J. Hargenrader officiating. Burial will be at Centre County Memorial Park, College Township, Pa.
