Selena Marie Meyer Smith, 43, of Centre Hall, died Saturday, July 24, 2004, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in College Township.
Born July 8, 1961, in Bellefonte, she was a daughter of the late Marie Hazel Meyer and D. Seth Meyer, of Spring Mills and Toni Meyer of Millheim.
On Sept. 13, 1986, in Bellefonte, she married Randy A. Smith, who survives in Centre Hall.
She was a graduate of Penns Valley High school, class of 1979. She worked at Penn State for 25 years beginning in June 1979, most recently in the Residence Life Department.
She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Centre Hall.
She was known as a good and faithful friend to many and was passionately devoted to her children and family. She supported her children in their numerous activities and was known for her courage, stamina, and faithfulness in being there for them until the time of her passing.
Surviving in addition to her husband, father, and mother, are a daughter, Alia Marie, 12, and two sons, Evan Michael, 15, and Collin Jacob, 10. Also surviving are a sister, Jodi Renee Ripka, her husband, Korey, and their children, Karli and Gage of Spring Mills; two brothers, Curtis Seth Meyer of State College and Samuel Thomas Meyer of Spring Mills; her father's wife, Carol Musick-Meyer of Spring Mills, and her son, Bryon Musick, of Port Matilda; her mother-and father-in-law, Carole and Lynn Smith of Centre Hall; three sisters-in-law, Lori Hoeft, her husband, Gary, and their sons, Gary Michael, Timothy, Jeshua, and John of Cuba, NY; Vickie Fultz, her husband, Glenn, and their children, Tyler and Marley of Centre Hall; Heather Brindle, her husband, William "Buck", and their sons, Hunter and Cade, of Chambersburg; her husband's grandmother, Alice Florey, of Centre Hall; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Avenue, Centre Hall, PA. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at Trinity United Church of Christ, Pennsylvania Avenue and E. Ridge Street, Centre Hall, with The Reverend S. Leigh Pick officiating.
Burial will follow at Centre County Memorial Park, 1032 Benner Pike, College Township, PA.
