Shana Elise Greger, 25, of State College died June 9, 2016.
Born December 27, 1990 in Manassas, Virginia she was the daughter of Douglas L. Greger of Plainview, NY and Anna Marie (Mitchell) Greger of State College.
Shana was very creative, loved to read and wrote beautiful poetry. She treasured music and received much joy in opening the world of music to others. She had her own flair for style and was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan. She enjoyed fishing and softball.
In addition to her parents she is survived by one brother, Daniel Greger of State College; one sister, Jessica Greger of San Francisco; paternal grandparents, Irving and Sarah "Sally" Greger of Plainview, NY; an aunt, Rose Mary Mitchell of San Francisco; three uncles, Ronald Greger (Robin) of West Potomac, MD, Lewis Greger (Dolores) of Centerville, VA and Jeffrey Greger (Julie) of Fairfax, VA. She is also survived by many cousins and close friends.
Shana is at peace. Her spirit lives on.
A gathering to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, June 18 beginning at 1 pm at 334 Homan Ave., State College, and a further musical tribute that evening at 8PM at Chronic Town (224 W. College Ave., State College)
