Harrington - Sharon Ann "Sherry" (Symer), was born July 30, 1943 in North Tonawanda, New York and passed away on December 18, 2025, in State College, Pennsylvania, following a long struggle with dementia.

Sherry was raised in Williamsville and Frewsburg, New York and went on to study art and design at the Rochester Institute of Technology. In 1963, she married the love of her life, Herman Harrington, and is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years. She was a loving and dedicated mother to three daughters, Lisa Harrington (Peter Liese), Andrea Harrington, Christine Adams (Todd). She was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren, Sara Mueller (Nathan Weyandt), Colin Mueller, Christin Liese, Jacob Haseley, Lucas Adams (Cecilia), Anna Haseley, Nicholas Adams and two great-grandchildren, Eleanor Adams and Luke Adams. She is also survived by her brother, Michael Symer, along with nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Jennifer Symer (Burtch), sister, Rebecca (George) Palmer and two beloved grandchildren, lan Mueller and Aiden Adams. Sherry was known for her open heart and welcoming spirit, serving as a second mother and home to many who became part of her life's journey.

A gifted and accomplished decorative artist, Sherry's talents spanned painting in acrylics, oils, and watercolors, as well as drawing, stained glass, clay work, and furniture refinishing. Her work was featured in arts and crafts magazines, and while living in Texas, she represented painting supply companies at national conferences. She also taught at painting societies across the United States, generously sharing her skills and passion for art.

Deeply committed to service, Sherry volunteered her time and artistic talents throughout the Western New York Community. She was a literacy volunteer and dedicated many years as a Girl Scout leader. Her faith was central to her life, and she was a devoted member of Lutheran churches in New York, Texas, and Pennsylvania, singing for many years in choir at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in New York.
