Steven R. "Stumpy" Breon, 58, of Aaronsburg died unexpectedly, Friday, October 9, 2015, at Mount Nittany Medical Center at State College.

He was born June 20, 1957 in Bellefonte, a son of Miriam "Mim" Rishel Breon who survives in rural Spring Mills; and the late Robert S. Breon Sr.

On October 21, 1978 at St John Union Church in Farmers Mills he married Vickie Lea Sweeney who survives at home.

Steve was a 1975 graduate of Penns Valley High School. He was a lifelong farmer having farmed in Gregg and Haines Township. He was a dedicated farmer who enjoyed working with cows. He also served as a supervisor and roadmaster for Haines Township.

He loved the out of doors, playing cards, nature and wildlife. He was always willing to help others in their time of need.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by one son, Jeremy S. Breon of Aaronsburg; one brother Robert S. Breon, Jr. of rural Spring Mills; and brother and sisters-in-law, Brenda and Stan Hess of Coudersport, PA, Sharon and Chris Immel of Camp Hill, Betsy and Dan Witherow of New Millport and Dennis Sweeney of Diamond Head, MS. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.


Friends will be received from 6-8 PM on Monday, October, 12, 2015 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. The funeral will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the funeral home with the Reverend Brandon Cian officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Union Cemetery, Farmers Mills, PA. We would encourage you to feel free to dress casually.
