Thelma Elizabeth Homan of Pennsylvania Furnace passed away May 20, 2022 at the age of 98.  She was born August 18, 1923 in Halfmoon Township to the late George and Lena Casher.  Thelma attended Port Matilda High School and was a member of Pine Hall Lutheran Church.  In 1940 she married Robert E. Homan and was employed with the State College School District until her retirement in 1983.  Thelma enjoyed gardening, sewing, fishing and farming.  She and her husband enjoyed many travels after retirement and she was a proud member of the United Church Women and Ferguson Township Garden Club.

Thelma was predeceased by her husband, Robert; son, David; parents, George and Lena; grandson, Michael and sisters, Mary and Teresa.  She is survived by her daughter, Carrol Vecellio (Joseph); five grandsons, numerous great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022 10:00am – 12:00pm at Haky/Georgiana Centre County Funeral Home 1034 Benner Pike State College, PA 16801.  Interment immediately following at Centre County Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to any charity of your choice in Thelma's honor.
