Thomas Ray Holsinger, 63, of State College, died on Monday, September 15, 2008 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in College Township.
He was born May 9, 1945, in Bellefonte, a son of the late Ray J. and Doris J. (Burk) Holsinger.
On June 15, 1990, he married Nancy L. (Corl) Holsinger, who survives at home.
He had retired as a machinist from Cerro Metal Products in Bellefonte with over 20 years of service.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and going to their sports activities and events. He also enjoyed camping and attending the Grange Fair and spending time with his beloved poodle, Buddy.
He was a member of the Camp Nittany Hunting Camp in Philipsburg and the Cerro Union.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Van E. Holsinger and his wife Lisa D. of Spring Mills, Steven R. Holsinger and his wife Nicole of Newport News, Virginia, and Timothy R. Holsinger and his companion Marnie of Milroy; four step-sons, Jimmy Zettle and his wife Denise of Spring Mills, Billy Zettle of Hellam, Danny Zettle of Spring Mills, and Christian Douty and his wife Tasha of Houtzdale; one brother, Donald Holsinger and his wife Karen of Wichata Falls, TX; four sisters, Viola Weaver of New Cumberland, Shirley Corl and her husband Ramie of West Decatur, Gloria Weaver and her husband John of Colyer, and Pamela Weiler and her husband Terry of Huntingdon; six grandchildren and five step grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Holsinger.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 from 7 to 9 PM at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. Funeral Services will be held from the funeral home at 10 AM on Thursday, September 18, 2008 with the Reverend Renee Ford officiating. Interment will be at the Centre County Memorial Park.
