Timothy (Timmer) J. Homan, 49, of Centre Hall, died Friday, October 29, 2004, at Centre Crest Nursing Center in Bellefonte.
He was born Oct. 29, 1955 in Bellefonte, a son of the late Donald M. Homan and Frances Joan Settle Homan Confer who survives at home.
Tim graduated from Penns Valley High School in 1974. He was employed by Skills Inc., and later worked as a utility worker in the kitchen at the Meadows Hospital for 12 years.
He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Centre Hall, the Centre Hall Fire Company, and a life member of the Central Pennsylvania Tractor Pullers Association.
Being a part of the Centre Hall Fire Company was a source of pride and joy for Tim. He also enjoyed auto racing, tractor pulls as a spectator and as a participant in garden tractor pulls, the Nittany Antique Machinery Association Show and bowling with his league. He also enjoyed mowing lawns and moving snow with his garden tractor.
Along with his mother, he is survived by a sister Tonia J. Bower of State College and her children Marshall and Grant Bower; a sister in law Minnette Homan of Centre Hall and her children, Donelle and Travis Homan; 2 step sisters, Vickie Confer VanDop and Lana Jean Confer both of State College; and a step brother, Courtney R. Confer of State College.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother Terry L. Homan and his step father Dale Confer.
Friends will be received from 6 - 9 p. m. Monday, November 1, 2004 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 301 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. The funeral will be held at 10:00 a. m. Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at St. Luke's with the Rev. Russell L. Sauerwein, officiating. Special honors will accorded by members of Centre Hall Fire Company. Burial will be in the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery in Centre Hall.
