Vincent J. Stabile, 73, of State College died Friday, September 18, 2015 at Mount Nittany Medical Centre, State College, PA.

Born September 28, 1941 in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Yolanda (Carrucci) Stabile. On July 13, 1963, he married the love of his life Kathryn Levine who survives at home. They were married for 52 wonderful years.

Vincent loved spending time with his grandsons. He also enjoyed fishing, reading, and watching the NY Rangers, and NY Giants. Vincent worked for the NYPD from 1962-1983, retiring as a Sergeant. After his retirement his family moved to Boalsburg where he worked for LGR and the Sheriff's office.

Along with his wife Kathryn (Bunny), he is survived by one son, John V. Stabile of State College; one daughter, Lynn M. Darlington and her husband Jesse of Centre Hall; and three grandsons, Jesse III, Justin, and Jack Darlington of Centre Hall.

Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. A brief memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with the Reverend Gary Finn officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
