Virginia Hubman, 64, of State College, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006 at the Fairways of Brookline in State College after a short illness. Born March 28, 1941 in Cleveland Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Ann Hawkins Moorhead. She was a graduate of Beaumont School for Girls in Cleveland Heights and attended Kent State University. Virginia lived in Erie and Covina, California prior to moving to State College in 1993.She was a para-professional in the State College Area School District, most recently at Corl Street Elementary School. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church.She enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading and studying world affairs. Virginia had a flair for interior design and enjoyed entertaining her family at her home in State College. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Duncan Moorhead. Survivors include her loving children, Laurie MacDonald, of St. Pete Beach, Fla., Shelly Hubman, of Chicago Ill., Donald Hubman of New York City; sons-in-law Stewart MacDonald and Tony Trigilio; grandchildren Ian and Bridgette MacDonald; her beloved sister Marge O'Brien and brother-in-law Frank, of State College; brother Jim Moorhead of Cleveland, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held on 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Grays Woods Blvd. in State College. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services P.C., State College. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be sent to Good Shepherd Church, PO Box 8186, State College, PA 16803, for Our Lady of Hope Orphanage, Jamaica.
